Penguin Face Painting Tutorial
A cute tuxedo penguin with a bright orange beak.
The penguin is a wonderfully simple design built on the most basic colour combination — black and white. The bright orange beak is the star of the show and makes this instantly recognisable.
Tutorial Overview
Step-by-Step Instructions
Sketch the Oval Body
Lightly sketch a large rounded oval shape on the canvas — this will be the penguin's body.
Fill the White Belly
Using a sponge, fill the centre of the oval with white paint to create the penguin's distinctive white tummy.
Black Body and Head
Fill the outer portion of the oval and a round head at the top with black paint using your flat brush or sponge.
Paint the Wings
Add two small black wing shapes on either side of the body — these are short, rounded flippers.
Draw the Orange Beak
Paint a small orange diamond shape in the center of the face for the beak.
Eyes and Feet
Add two round white eyes with black pupils, and paint two small orange feet at the bottom of the body.
Snowflake Sparkles
Finish with small white snowflake and sparkle accents scattered around the penguin for a wintry magic touch.
